This is a poem I came across some time back when my children were young. It's something I keep reminding myself of when things get busy.
I hope other parents find it as endearing as me and it serves to remind what’s important in life.
I hope my children look back on today
And see a parent who had time to play
Children grow up while you’re not looking
There’ll be years ahead of cleaning and cooking
So quiet now, cobwebs, dust go to sleep
I’m playing with my children
And children don’t keep.
